Any short AR owners here?

I’m in the process of fine-tuning a short AR and I’d love to know which buffer weights, springs, and gas port configurations have worked best for maintaining reliability without making the rifle overly gassy.

For my 11.5" carbine, I found that an H3 buffer combined with a standard carbine spring worked the best. I also added a BRT gas tube to help reduce gas without having to adjust the block. Still, it’s pretty gassy when suppressed. That’s just the way short barrels behave.
