Have you noticed any changes in the reliability of hollow-point defensive loads when exposed to low temperatures?

I've shot hollow points in the cold and never had issues. What I did notice was magazines getting slow when they're full of old oil and dirt, the cold just made it show up faster.

From what I’ve seen, modern hollow points handle the cold just fine. The bigger variable is usually the gun not the temperature.

Modern self-defense ammo seems pretty consistent, even in cold weather. The bigger issue I see when it’s freezing is how thick gloves can mess with your grip and trigger feel.
