For anyone who stores firearms in cold settings, I’d like to explore the long-term effects of grease compared to traditional gun oil. What challenges, if any, have you encountered after prolonged low-temperature storage?

I keep my guns in an unheated garage and I switched to grease years ago. Regular oil tends to get sticky or run off in extreme cold. I use a good quality grease on the contact points and it has no issues even after months of storage.
