I had an extractor break on me during a class and my gun turned into a single-shot

One time, my pistol just refused to lock up on the range. I was sure something major had broken. Nope. I had put too much oil on it. The gun was basically swimming in oil. I wiped it off and it ran like it never embarrassed me.
